i am not trying to start an argument or shitting on anyone or anything.

i am honestly actually wondering the answer to this....

don't take this an insult or attack.... but how many electronic devices do you own that are and are not made by apple? (if you don't mind me asking?)

Iwatch
Iphone
Ipad
Macbook Air
AirPods
Apple TV (2)

I have a PC hooked to my TV but it doesn't work well anymore.
I go with Apple because they last A LOT longer and are simple to use (which goes a long way when you have employees that grew up in the 70s).

fair enough.. i completely understand why people buy apple products. they make good products.

but i guess a better way to phrase the question would be.....

(and this is a completely hypothetical scenario by the way.... what would happen if something happened at apple and they suddenly released a statement tomorrow that they were increasing the price on all future products by 10,000%. that's it. if you don't like it, then don't buy it.

i am in position where i can say "okay...i won't"

how would you go about deciding what to purchase next when it came time to upgrade or replace any one of those items you just listed?

Then the value of all my products would also increase, and I would sell them at a crazy profit and lol at you.

I switched to Apple seven years ago after getting tired of the "blue screen of death." And then I saw how fast the Apple OS was to start up and how intuitive it seemed. But yes, from a product standpoint, I'm kind of backed in a corner right now. And yes they are more expensive than their counterparts. But it's a good product and I like the ecosystem.

I do have a DoD-issued HP laptop and I hate the experience. However, that may have more to do with the layers of security on both the laptop and the network. Takes forever to do anything.

But I can and do live in a mixed Windows and iOS environment via Dropbox. So from a practical standpoint there isn't any reason why I can't run my business using any type computer or phone.

My bro says his morning routine is turning his PC on, and then going to have breakfast and coffee while it boots up. It finishes booting up right around the time he's done taking his coffee shit.

Dunno bro, he pulled $320K last year.

Also, he says if he leaves it on, it freezes.

dunno, build your own and you will never have to worry about that as you will be ahead of the market on tech/value and you can constantly cheaply upgrade to continue to stay ahead of the market

buying prebuilt is terrible

tell your bro to join the rest of us in the year 2019 and purchase an SSD hard drive lol

unless this is a windows 10 isue... windows 10 blows and spys on you (not a conspiracy by the way mike hhaha.. people are furious about the privacy issues)

but s a guy who has been using windows since version 3.1 back in 1993... which was elite. windows 95 was too. so was 98. and XP. and then nothing but rubbish until windows 7 which is again elite..and i hope they never stop updating it or providing support...because there's no fucking way i am switching to windows 10 or buying a macbook any time soon ahha

widows 10...because it blows.
macbooks may very well be elite but..

my reasons for not wanting to own one are... well that's kinda the point of this whole thread and why i was asking the questions in the first place lol

anyway i can say with almost 100% certainty the reason he is waiting for his computer to boot up is because he has not made the switch from HHD hard drive to SSD

it's like rabit ear antennas on your TV VS. a digital cable on-demand high definition box

macs use an SSD btw.. in fact it they were doing it first.... i have a very wealthy friend wh has a mac tower from 10 years ago that is on par with a decent PC brand new fro best buy in the year 2019...its because he paid extra for SSD's.... the eequivelent of owning one of the first CD players in the 1980's i guess lol

ut technology has gotten to the point where you can buy one on amazon for like $50 bucks
(a good one is much more than that..but still... $50 for a 128GB SSD would be upgrading from a condo to the playboy mansion for him lol)

oh no..i do get that... thats why i keep stressing i a not trying to argue with you....but i am reading what i type and realize this could easily be interpreted as that.

. i know apple makes good products and what works for you works for you ..and that's what yure paying for.

my question was kinda.. more of....

"from your point of view as a customer, how does apple as a corporation operate? and even though it works for you in your situation...would it work for me also in mine?" type question

Not reading all this nonsense but LOL at Android PC.

Yeah if you like to “tinker” ok have fun w inferior shit but I like my stuff to work.

My MacBook Pro from 2013 just had “hard drive ribbon cord” replaced and the guy Also upgraded my hardrive to 1TB and he also hooked me up with 12 GB ram where I previously had 4 I think?

Anyways, long story short, my 2013 MacBook runs extremely fast and flawless. I have never used a PC that worked 1/2 as good, even brand new. Now if you’re a nerd I’m sure you can build good PCs.

But for regular guys like mike and I who want elite simple smooth running machines for years, it’s Mac hands down.
