Holdouts are usually dumb

#1 Unread postby williamzabka » Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:47 am

But this makes a lot of sense. He's made "only" $10 million. He's slotted to make $5.6 million this year. If he gets hurt, he loses huge. Le'Veon got $35 million guaranteed. Gordon should not play if the Chargers aren't offering at least $20 million guaranteed.

He's not as good as he thinks he is, but he's certainly above average.

Chargers should do it too, largely because Rivers is old and he must be aging terrible with his 50 kids.

>>>>>>>>>>
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Melvin Gordon has informed the Chargers he will not report to training camp and demand a trade unless he receives a new contract.

Gordon is currently scheduled to earn $5.6 million in the fifth and final year of his rookie contract. This report comes a bit out of left field considering Gordon reported to mandatory minicamp in June, but contract talks have apparently not gone well since then. With Gordon's short-term status in question, Austin Ekeler -- and perhaps Justin Jackson -- needs to be moved up draft boards.

and there it is this article is why I wouldnt give him him an extension and trade his ass to bucs

look at the fools that got extensions at the runningback position almost all failed or got hurt and you are paying them 5 times as much as a rookie who has the same production. that is horrible cap management

I am laughing at the poster that made it

he will be traded for dollars on the cents and the new team will cry

meanwhile zabaka will say the chargers lost 4 wins in that trade

DO you agree with Jason? If so, he says:

"My guess is if the sides really want a deal done they would meet around $10 million a season. If not Gordon will likely be a Charger at the start of the season"

well gordon cant hold out his contract will be tolled so they can sign an extension but jason showed every runningback extension was a failure

so gordon is stuck then get the franchise tag at 12.6 mil and then a 2nd tag at 15.12 mil

which means he wants 33 mil guaranteed if signed this offseason

He can holdout until about week 11 (whenever the cutoff is) and it could fuck the Chargers. They have a great team and will probably make the playoffs anyway.

talking about runningback holdouts is retarded

let them walk and if they hold out good see ya

see the Queerlers that backup was just as good as bell. I am sure Ekeler will do just as good as Gordon at 1/8th the price

Does Zabka ever tire of obsessing over “name” RBs? Moron.
